The YMCA-YWCA Newcomer Information Centre (NIC) is a welcoming place for immigrants starting their new lives in Canada. The program is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Every year, NIC provides support to more than 11,000 newcomers in Ottawa. We have a team of trained information specialists who speak in various languages and make sure that newcomers receive relevant and most up-to-date information.
NIC offers online and in-person services. You can call us or send us an email using the contact information below. You can also book your appointment online here. We highly recommend you to use our online services to avoid possible longer waiting times for in-person appointments.
